BIO
Marcel Anderson is a Neo Soul, R&B, Contemporary & Soul Jazz recording artist whose electrifying yet soothing sound continues to captivate audiences nationwide. A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Marcel’s musical journey began at just eight years old with a powerful solo performance of “Give Us This Day.” Raised in a musically rich family, including his twin brother, renowned saxophonist Marcus Anderson, Marcel’s talent was nurtured early through church choirs and local performances.
He rose to early recognition with The Anderson Twins and later as part of the award-winning R&B group Three Part Harmony. Marcel’s distinct, emotionally rich vocal style quickly became his trademark.
Now an acclaimed independent artist, Marcel has released three studio albums that merge soul, jazz, and gospel into an unmistakably heartfelt sound. His breakout single “Better Days” topped the jazz charts and further established him as a voice of healing and depth in contemporary soul.
In 2025, Marcel is set to release his most personal project to date: Trusted Love Relationship, a powerful new album that explores emotional healing, intimacy, and resilience through love. The album features standout tracks like “Message from the Heart,” “Trust Me Again,” and “Forever,” and is being developed into a companion lyrical workbook aimed at inspiring listeners on their own journeys toward trust and connection.
Marcel has performed at elite venues such as St. James Live, Spaghettini, The Catalina Jazz Festival, and Majace, and shared the stage with industry legends including Kenny Lattimore, Jonathan Butler, Chris Walker, Regina Belle, and Kirk Whalum and recently touring with Jazz Saxophonist Dave Koz and the Summer horns.
Paying tribute to musical icons like Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Anthony Hamilton, and Frankie Beverly, Marcel delivers live performances that are both timeless and transformative. His music is not just heard — it’s felt.
