Cary, NC — One of the region’s most anticipated holiday traditions returns this winter as Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheatre welcomes the North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival for its eleventh year. Tickets are on sale now for the seven-week event, running November 21, 2026, through January 10, 2027.

Chinese artisans are currently creating all-new displays, each composed of hundreds of individual pieces and illuminated by thousands of LED lights. These larger-than-life lanterns will showcase exceptional craftsmanship and artistic detail, offering guests a memorable experience throughout the festival grounds. Cultural arts performances will also take place nightly on the main stage.

ANY NIGHT TICKET
For guests seeking flexibility or looking to give tickets as a gift, the ANY NIGHT Ticket offers admission on any festival evening. Children ages 2 and under are admitted free.

TWILIGHT SESSION TICKET
The Twilight Session Ticket provides early entry during “Golden Hour,” beginning 90 minutes prior to the regular opening time. This option offers reduced crowds and additional time to experience the lanterns as they illuminate the evening sky, making it an ideal opportunity for guests who prefer a more spacious experience and a beautiful backdrop for photos. Twilight Tickets will be offered Monday through Sunday beginning at 4:30 p.m. Twilight Tickets will not be available on Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve. Children ages 2 and under are admitted free. No discounts apply. Tickets are date-specified, and ANY NIGHT Tickets may not be used for this package.

EVENING SESSION TICKET
Guests may purchase tickets for a specific evening and enjoy the lantern displays and cultural arts performances from 6–10 p.m. Children ages 2 and under are admitted free. Tickets are date specific.

Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets early, as prices will increase on the date of the event.
