Cary, NC-- Country music legend Willie Nelson will bring his unmistakable voice and legendary catalog to Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheatre on Monday, April 27, with special guest Drayton Farley opening the evening. The one-night-only performance will give Triangle audiences the rare chance to experience one of the most influential artists in American music live under the stars. With a career spanning more than seven decades, Nelson remains one of the most influential and enduring figures in American music, known for beloved hits including “On the Road Again,” “Always on My Mind,” and “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain.” A member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and recipient of the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song from the Library of Congress, Nelson has earned virtually every major honor in music while also building a remarkable legacy as an author, actor, and activist. He co-founded the legendary Farm Aid concert in 1985 and continues to headline the annual benefit, as well as his iconic Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic and the touring Outlaw Music Festival Tour.

Even after more than 70 years on the road, Nelson remains as prolific as ever. In recent years he has released a string of acclaimed albums—including the GRAMMY-winning A Beautiful Time—along with multiple books and collaborations. His 90th birthday was celebrated with a star-studded concert at the Hollywood Bowl and the release of the documentary series Willie Nelson & Family, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. New music continues to follow, including the 2024 studio album The Border and the recently released Last Leaf on the Tree, featuring collaborations with his son Micah Nelson.

Opening the show is rising Americana singer-songwriter Drayton Farley, one of the genre’s most buzzed-about new voices. The Alabama native built a devoted following through his raw Southern storytelling and powerful live performances, recently making his Grand Ole Opry debut and sharing stages with artists including Dwight Yoakam and Ryan Bingham. Farley’s new album A Heavy Duty Heart, arriving this spring, further showcases his deeply personal songwriting and rising momentum in the Americana scene.
