2008 Summer Fest Schedule Included the Following Events:

May 31 - Play with the Pros
Please join us for the first North Carolina Symphony Summerfest concert of the season at Booth Amphitheatre. The Eleventh Annual Play with The Pros concert will feature a full program by the NC Symphony. At the conclusion of the concert, over 40 talented local musicians will take the stage to perform the final three selections of the evening side-by-side with the pros in one magnanimous finale! Free Performance.


June 7 - Feel the Beat
William Henry Curry, Resident Conductor
Evelyn Glennie, Percussion
This heart-pounding program ends with a performance of Ravel's Bolero featuring local high school drum-corps members joining Evelyn on stage. Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door.

June 14 - Classical Storytellers
Joan Landry, Assistant Conductor
Classical Storytellers, including Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty and Rimsky-Korsakov's timeless Scheherazade. Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door.

June 21 - Forbidden Broadway

Forbidden Broadway, a comedic look at Broadway's biggest hits of yesterday and today. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.


June 28 - Northern Lights
William Henry Curry, Resident Conductor
Northern Lights featuring Russian and Scandinavian music including Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius and Grieg's Peer Gynt. Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door.

July 4 - Independence Day Concert & Fireworks

Free event that is always a huge hit with the entire family. This celebration comes complete with patriotic music and fireworks!


July 5 - Salute to the Greatest Generation

Salute to the Greatest Generation, a tribute to the men and women who made America great during World War II. Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door.

July 12 - Blues in the Night

Cephas & Wiggins, Piedmont Blues Duo Blues in the night, a journey through the history of blues and jazz in America. Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door.


July 19 - Take it to the Limit: A Symphonic Tribute to The Eagles
Experience this one-of-a-kind tribute to The Eagles with great hits like "Take it Easy", "Desperado", and "Hotel California". Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Kids 12 and under are free for all Summerfest Events! Patrons are allowed to bring picnic dinners to all Summerfest Events. Booth Amphitheatre can also pack your picnic just click here for details.

Need to purchase Tickets to a Summerfest Event?
Tickets to the 2009 Summerfest Concert Season will be available via Ticketmaster at (919) 834-4000, NC Symphony at (919) 733-2750, www.ticketmaster.com or by visiting the Booth Amphitheatre Box Office.

Tickets will go on-sale during the Spring of 2009.
